Sanchez Flores was named new coach last week after Eduardo Coudet left for River Plate.
He said: “I’m excited. I remember coming to play at Mendi, the atmosphere created by the crowd, and now they’re on our side.
"The huge number of points we’ve earned this season have been at Mendi (Mendizorroza) thanks to the support of our fans, and hopefully we won’t lose that.”
On facing Villarreal, Sanchez Flores also said: “They're not a team that generates many passes. They're the fastest attacking team in the league on the counter-attack.
"We have to pay close attention to the transition from attack to defense and not let them run quickly to our goal because they're players who can create danger with just one pass.”
