The Belgian international is leaving the Etihad Stadium after 10 years of legendary service, with his contract up on June 30th. At 33 years old De Bruyne had interest from other Premier League sides and MLS clubs, but decided to join the Italian champions who can provide him with Champions League football next season.
Now, he has just landed in Rome to undergo his medical tests with Napoli as many fans met him at the clinic before he is to be unveiled as a Napoli player for the very first time. He will link up with former Manchester United rival Scott McTominay, former Chelsea star Billy Gilmour and manager Antonio Conte who is a big fan of the experienced playmaker.
His record of 108 goals and 177 assists in 422 appearances, along with 16 trophies make him the perfecet signing for Napoli, especially in a free transfer which will be seen as one of the best pieces of business this summer. He is set to pen a two-year deal with an option for a further campaign as he prepares to help defend their Serie A title.
