Manchester United have learnt the new price for RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko which is cheaper than expected.

United manager Ruben Amorim is pushing for his side to sign a new centre-forward as he does not believe in Rasmus Hojlund or Joshua Zirkzee who were extremely inconsistent in front of goal last season. The Red Devils lost out on Liam Delap to Chelsea and are looking close to losing out on Viktor Gyokeres to Arsenal

However, Sesko is still available and is just as talented which is great news for United fans who are crying out for a No.9 who can find the back of the net before the start of the new season. Now, according to The Standard his price has dropped from the original asking price between £68m and £85m.

That price has dropped, with offers of £60.6M now considered viable for the Bundesliga star who has a tally of 39 goals and eight assists across 87 outings for Leipzig over the past few seasons after making a £20M move to the Red Bull Arena from RB Salzburg in 2023.

The report also states that United’s head of scouting, Christopher Vivell, is set to play a key role in negotiations. This is very important as Vivell worked at Leipzig for two years in the past and will be key to talks between the two sides. Sesko is still only 22 years old and has been tipped to become one of the best strikers in Europe and if United can snap him up at a reduced price then it will an excellent piece of business.
