Bologna coach Thiago Motta delighted after victory over Salernitana

Bologna coach Thiago Motta was delighted after their victory over Salernitana.

Bologna won 3-0 on Easter Monday via goals from Riccardo Orsolini, Alexis Saelemaekers and Charalampos Lykogiannis.

Motta said: "A beautiful moment for everyone, for the results and for how we are playing. I am proud and satisfied with how we are all experiencing it, internally and externally with our fans who deserve this joy.

"It was a well-deserved victory and today I dedicate it especially to my daughter Sofia who was in the stands. We took the lead with two beautiful goals, but the defensive phase must also be underlined, as well as the test by Lykogiannis.

"In these cases, however, we must have control of the match and not do as happened in the second half.

"Which formation do I choose over time? Everything counts, the previous matches, the training sessions, as I see them at the moment. In modern football we have a lot of data, including physical data, and all this helps to make a decision."

He added, "Has Xabi Alonso decided to stay another season at Leverkusen? I think the decision is right and respectable, I wish him the best because he is a great coach."
