England boss Thomas Tuchel is taking nothing for granted as his side prepare to face Ghana in their second game at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The Three Lions opened up their Group L campaign with a 4-2 win over Croatia as a double from captain Harry Kane set Tuchel on the road to victory on his World Cup debut.

Ghana edged out a 1-0 victory over Panama in their first outing and tonight's clash in Foxborough could decide top spot in the group and their subsequent knockout stage route.

Despite 69 places splitting the two teams in FIFA's latest rankings, this clash could be England's toughest test so far in the USA, and Tuchel is wary of Ghana's threat in transitions.

"The counter attack is one of the threats. They play with lots of physicality and speed. They have Individual quality and don't mind if they have less of the ball because they burst into high speed attacks and play very directly on the ball. They're not shy to use long balls.

"It's a different approach to the last match. but that's the beauty of it; playing different cultures and approaches to matches. It's on us to adapt. We need a top performance if we want to win."

Tuchel suffered his first loss as England boss up against African opposition last summer, as Senegal beat his team 3-1 in friendly action, and Ghana have a dangerous attack under Carlos Queiroz headed up by Manchester City's Antoine Semenyo.
