The 36-year-old was stretchered off and needed oxygen after falling over the advertising hoardings as the video of the veteran went viral online for how bizarre his fall was after Dan Burn climbed over the hoardings without any trouble.

His father, Brian, has now spoken out about the injury which he reveals will leave him out of contention for the rest of the tournament.

“At first I just thought he’d fallen, I thought he’d maybe scraped his wrist.

“I had no idea it was that serious until they were interviewing Harry Kane and a trolley came past with Jordan on it. I could see him on there with oxygen and things.

“Straight away, I messaged his PA, who was over there, to try and find out what had happened. I was up all night waiting to hear the news. It’s just a waiting game now.

“It’s his left forearm, he’s just completely smashed it. He’s going to have a cast on and then it depends on what the experts say.

“He won’t be leaving his teammates. He’ll be there until it’s finished.”

Henderson stated on social media that he is ready for “another big one Saturday” referring to the Norway clash in the Quarter Final of the competition.

Due to his experience and leadership in the side, Henderson still remains a backbone under manager Thomas Tuchel who is clearly eager for Henderson to stay and boost morale from the sidelines.
