Brazil and Norway face off at MetLife Stadium on Sunday for a place in the World Cup 2026 quarter-finals in what should be a thrilling affair between two nations in fine form.
The South American side have never beaten Norway in four meetings and will be seeking their first win on Sunday night as Ancelotti plans his side to face the likes of Martin Odegaard and Erling Haaland.
The country’s top scorer all time Neymar made his long-awaited World Cup debut in Brazil's third group-stage match against Scotland in Miami, coming on in the 76th minute.
Since then fans have been eager to see him pull on the shirt once more as Ancelotti manages his fitness levels as he recovers from a grade two calf injury.
Speaking ahead of the clash, Ancelotti confirmed that Neymar is ready to make an impact not just off the bench but for the full game.
“Neymar can play 90 minutes… and he can play with Vinicius Jr.
“I think they will play together.”
The bad news for Ancelotti is that Lucas Paqueta is expected to miss out with a hamstring injury whilst Raphinha is still a doubt for the clash and will likely remain on the bench.
