The Argentine defender scored a late winner against AC Milan on Sunday.
Speaking from Argentina, his father, Sebastian, told TMW: "After the match, he had to undergo a doping test and called us directly from there. He was very happy and excited, truly delighted by all the effort and sacrifice he's making.
"Luckily, things are going as we all hoped.
"The truth is that Parma is a great club, and Parma, in turn, is a very relaxed city, with teammates, managers, and a top-notch coaching staff who have helped him from day one."
Troilo Snr added: "The goal is to consolidate and help Parma stay in the league. The dream? Next year, the idea is to try and aspire to European competition. And his dream is to return to the national team, with the World Cup so close..."
