According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter’s board have been impressed by Chivu, and are keen on tying down his long-term future.
The club have placed a contract extension offer on the table that would keep him at the San Siro until the summer of 2028.
Chivu would also receive a hefty pay increase, seeing his salary rise from €2.1 million to €3 million per year.
