Bergomi told Il Mattino: "In Europe, Italian football is struggling. We're like a house with a glass roof; you see the stars but never reach them.
"Napoli is the only team that can remain at the highest level, but they must focus on playing in the Champions League to win it. That's the only way to be competitive."
And as for the Scudetto, he added: "Napoli is a step ahead."
