Barcelona have agreed a deal to sign Karim Adeyemi from Borussia Dortmund, just one month after confirming the signing of Anthony Gordon from Newcastle United.
With Ansu Fati having left the club in a permanent deal to Monaco and Robert Lewandowski joining Chicago Fire, Barcelona’s attack is under construction as manager Hansi Flick build a side worthy of defending their title.
With so many changes amongst the squad, reports have linked Raphinha with a move away to the Saudi Pro League and more specifically Al-Hilal who are said to be prepared a huge bid this month.
Despite his incredible form over the past two years, Raphinha missed more than 20 games as a consequence last term as he starts to show the wear and tear at just 29 years old after so much game time for the Spanish giants.
Speaking on his future, Laporta revealed that there are no plans to offload Raphinha, even if he is struggling for a place in the first team.
“Raphinha will stay. We have no interest in him leaving Barca. He’s a key player.
“With Gordon and Adeyemi, I see that we’re strengthening the attack, but that doesn’t mean we’re going to let Raphinha go, as he’s crucial for us," Laporta told reporters.
Raphinha's best season with the Catalan side came in 2024-25, when he managed 34 goals and 26 assists in 57 appearances in all competitions.
