Perez used his appearance on Spanish TV show Horizonte on Thursday night to confirm that he would bid "about 150 million euros" for a world class player who is yet to be unveiled.
"It isn't (Michael) Olise, he's a great player, but it isn't Olise," Pérez said. "It isn't (Jeremy) Doku, it isn't (Erling) Haaland. It isn't (Harry) Kane.
“It's a player who plays from the midfield, or further forwards. And he isn't a Premier League player. He's a total Galáctico. But first we'll talk to his club."
Whilst he confirmed the Spanish giants will sign Denzel Dumfries and Ibrahima Konate, reports are still scrambling to work out who Madrid will make a gigantic bid for this summer.
Madrid ended the 2025-26 season with no major trophies for the second season in a row and are set to be led by Jose Mourinho next season as they aim to bounce back under the legendary manager.
Mourinho will be a key part in the huge summer bid this summer, as Perez claimed he is “a Cristiano Ronaldo or Kaká level player” and “a Galactico!"
Jamal Musiala, Desire Doue, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Ousmane Dembele have been tipped to be some of the only players who meet Perez’s requirements. More information on the player should be revealed over the coming weeks as fans eagerly await updates.
