A pre-tournament injury caused a setback for Munoz with La Roja boss Luis de la Fuente hinting at his June transfer from Osasuna to Liverpool causing him some stress in the World Cup build-up.
The 22-year-old made his senior Spain debut and scored in a 3-0 friendly win over Serbia, but he's remained as an unused substitute so far across Spain's five games in North America, with Alex Baena set as De la Fuente's pick on the left side of attack.
However, a confident Munoz - who enjoyed a superb breakthrough 2025/26 season at Osasuna - is convinced he will be ready for the challenge ahead at Liverpool based on the faith shown in him by new boss Andoni Iraola.
"He gave me a glimpse into how his teams play, how that might suit me, how he likes his wingers to stay wide, get to the byline and work hard," the told an interview with El Correo.
"His style of play, with his pressing, it suits me a lot. Because of my characteristics, I can fit into that plan, and that's why I took the step of joining Liverpool.
"I think the Premier League is the right place for me because of my style of play. This is the right step for me.
"I'm used to change. I left home at 17. I like new challenges and I'm looking forward to this new experience."
