Son of a gun Carrick makes Man Utd U18 debut

A midfielder like his father, Jacey Carrick featured for the U18s on Saturday in their 2-0 win over Newcastle United.

Beyond the family connection, the talking point around Carrick Jr's debut is that he is still only 15 years of age.

Carrick is an U15 England international and has played in the same age group as Kai Rooney, the son of former United captain Wayne Rooney.

They were together for United's Under-16s in the SuperCupNI, formerly the Milk Cup, over the summer.
