France's second Group I contest pits them against Iraq in Philadelphia on Monday evening as they aim to book their place in the next round following a 3-1 win over Senegal.
Saliba, who is nursing a back problem, revealed that this week that he is struggling to remain at full fitness as France seek to repeat their World Cup success in 2018 with one of the best squads in the tournament.
The Arsenal star is playing alongside a wide range of players, including the likes of Bradley Barcola and Ousmane Dembele who he admitted have teased him over the Champions League final in which his side lost on penalties.
"I've already forgotten, I hope we'll come back stronger next year," Saliba told reporters.
“With the five Parisians, we sometimes talk about it, we tease each other a bit at the table, it's all in good fun.
"It was a little easier, given that we had to quickly focus on the World Cup which was coming right after," he stated. "Even though the first three or four days were difficult."
France are heavy favourites for their clash with Iraq and a win would guarantee that they would advance to the knockout stages. Despite his injury issues, Saliba is set to start the game where a clean sheet is likely for Les Bleus.
