Premier League legend Wayne Rooney has predicted that Arsenal will go all the way and win the title this season.

Arsenal can take a huge step towards the Premier League title when they take on West Ham United on Sunday, just one day after Manchester City narrowed the gap to just 2 points on Saturday afternoon.

With just 3 games remaining, the title could go down to the wire as both Arsenal and City fight for every point available.

Speaking on Match of the Day, Rooney believes that the title challengers won’t let up and will remain perfect for the final stretch of the campaign.

"I think City just have to try and win their games, I said this last week that I felt City would drop points against Everton," Rooney said. "I feel both teams will win every game (from now), which makes Arsenal champions."

If both sides do remain perfect, Arsenal would conclude the season on 85 points with City finishing on 83, therefore ending the Gunners’ two decade long title drought.

When asked about how Arsenal may be feeling heading into the West Ham game, Rooney responded that the nerves will be getting to the North London side.

"Excitement, nervous. You get every emotion and obviously with Man City winning today, now it's on Arsenal to go out and win the game against West Ham.

"Every type of emotion you think you can have, you go through over this next couple of weeks and it's brilliant when you're in it and when you get out of it at the right time then it's such a good feeling. But when you're on the wrong side of it, it's one of the worst feelings in the world."

Arsenal may have to wait until the final day of the season to lift the title where they face Crystal Palace away from home at Selhurst Park.
