Premier League icon Alan Shearer has opened up on Arsenal's title chances in the final few games.

Arsenal sit on 76 points with three to play going into the weekend as they enter the clash against West Ham after they booked their place in the Champions League final following a 1-0 win over Atletico Madrid this week.

Their clean sheet also marked their 30th clean sheet across all competitions, meaning they have now won a staggering 41 games in the current season.

Mikel Arteta’s side have been incredible and with Manchester City dropping points against Everton on Monday night, the door is open for them to extend their lead at the top of the pile.

Speaking to Betfair, Shearer revealed that a win over West Ham could crown them as champions for the first time in over two decades.

“We are all assuming that Man City are winning every single one of their games, which may not be the case, because they've got a couple of tough ones themselves, notably Bournemouth away. But I think, without doubt, the toughest one for Arsenal is going to be this weekend against West Ham.

“I just sense a different vibe with them now. I sense more confidence and more energy from everyone, including players, including the fans. The atmosphere I just thought was brilliant. I just sensed a different confidence in Arsenal, in everything and I do think they'll do it now, but I think I'm like most people, I guess if they win this weekend at West Ham, it's pretty much done.

“Everything is on this weekend. If they beat West Ham, the Premier League is pretty much theirs.

“It's been a brilliant four or five days for Arsenal since last Saturday, and then Everton doing them a favour with a draw, and then obviously the win on Tuesday getting into the final, so it's been a brilliant few days which should see them over the line now in the Premier League.”

However, it won’t be an easy game as West Ham have home advantage, and are fighting for their lives as they aim for at least a draw to try and escape the relegation zone.
