Newcastle captain Kieran Trippier regrets the way he left Tottenham.
The fullback was sold by Tottenham to Atletico Madrid in 2019.

He recalled on the Overlap: "Just I think in the way that I left, I talked with Daniel (Levy, chairman) and the manager (Mauricio Pochettino).
"It was difficult, of course it was. I just asked 'am I part of the plans', he said to speak to the manager. I went to the manager and asked if I was part of his plans and he said 'speak to Daniel'. I just kept getting thrown around like a yo-yo.
"As a player you just want clarity. If I need to move on then that's all I need to hear. Just a bit of honesty. Just tell me the truth and no problem. Players come and go, that's no problem."
