Mohamed Salah will officially exit Liverpool at the end of June, but before then, the Egyptian is looking to break another record.

Salah's nine years at Anfield have been filled with unbelievable highs, as his wand of a left foot has delivered Liverpool a Champions League, two Premier League titles, and countless other trophies.

The 33-year-old is third on Liverpool's all-time top scorers list, behind only Roger Hunt and Ian Rush, having already surpassed legends Steven Gerrard, Robbie Fowler and Kenny Dalglish.

With an eye-watering 379 goal involvements in 440 appearances for the club, Arne Slot will find it difficult to replace one of the club's greatest ever players ahead of a potentially era-defining summer transfer window.

But before he departs Merseyside next month, Salah is hopeful of appearing in Liverpool's final two games of the season, starting with a trip to Aston Villa on Friday night.

Salah has missed the last two matches with a thigh problem, though Slot confirmed he is available for the clash at Villa Park and he will be looking to surpass one of Gerrard's feats.

The Egyptian wizard has the joint-most assists for Liverpool in the Premier League (92) - tied with Gerrard - and he can surpass that total in the final two games.

He is expected to start on the bench against Villa, but is likely to be thrown into the side at home to Sunderland, where Liverpool fans will give him an incredible reception on his final fixture at Anfield.
