Liverpool left-back Milos Kerkez can use his Bournemouth connection to help the Reds sign Marcos Senesi on a free transfer.

Senesi is set to leave the Cherries once his contract expires in June, and the 28-year-old isn't short of suitors from the Premier League and abroad.

The Argentine has played an integral role in Bournemouth's assault towards Europe, with Andoni Iraola's side currently occupying sixth position.

Combining elegance on the ball with aggression in the tackle, Senesi has flourished for Iraola across 36 appearances this term and appears ready to join a European giant.

According to Matteo Moretto, Fabrizio Romano's colleague, Liverpool have "strongly" entered the race for Bournemouth's No. 5 in recent days and intends on staying in England's top-flight.

"Senesi will stay in the Premier League, and beyond the two clubs I already mentioned—Chelsea and Tottenham, especially Tottenham, Liverpool have also entered the race quite strongly in recent days," Moretto said on Romano's YouTube channel.

"So keep an eye on Liverpool, because they’re expected to make new contacts for Marcos Senesi."

Interest from Chelsea and Tottenham could make it difficult for Liverpool to land the towering Argentine international, although Kerkez could help persuade him to join.

Kerkez made a £40m move from Bournemouth to Anfield last summer and has since become an integral player for Arne Slot after a slow start.

So, with Liverpool in desperate need of defensive reinforcements, especially with Ibrahima Konate set to leave, the 22-year-old could use his connection to Senesi and inspire a potential switch to Merseyside.
