Iraola is expected to be busy in the preseason transfer window with a £34.5M deal for Victor Munoz his first piece of business on Merseyside alongside an ongoing pursuit of RB Leipzig's Yan Diomande.
The club know a move for Diomande will not be wrapped up quickly with Leipzig already rejecting their initial €100M opening offer for the 19-year-old.
As part of a wider squad update, Iraola has been linked with several Bournemouth stars who played a key role in their first-ever European qualification at the end of last season, including hotshot striker El Junior Kroupi and midfield playmaker Alex Scott.
Both players were symbols of Bournemouth's year-on-year improvement under Iraola with Kroupi setting a new Premier League record as the first teenager to score 13 top-flight goals.
Despite both players appearing to be viable targets to boost Liverpool's squad options, Barnes has firmly rejected the idea, due to a lack of quality.
"There’s no Bournemouth player I’d like to see Iraola bring to Anfield because I don’t think there’s a Bournemouth player who’s better than what we already have," Barnes told Betfred.
"Alex Scott is somebody that’s trusted by Iraola, but I think the only reason he’d arrive at the club would be solely due to the manager."
Marcos Senesi had also been linked with an Iraola reunion, prior to completing a free transfer move to Tottenham, and defensive reinforcements are also high on the list of priorities following the exits of Ibrahima Konate and Andy Robertson.
