Following the departure of Marco Silva, Wilson is also expected to move on, despite the offer of a renewal from the Cottagers and Leeds are hoping to fend off interest from Aston Villa and Everton

Villa can offer European football to the Wales international - which Leeds and Everton cannot - but Daniel Farke is confident a significant wage rise and a greater role will persuade the 29-year-old over a move to Elland Road.

Reports from Football Insider claim Wilson has been set as a 'priority target' by both Farke and the club's ownership after netted 11 goals and registered eight assists in a career-best 2025/26 season.

Leeds' Welsh contingent of captain Ethan Ampadu, Joe Rodon, Daniel James and Karl Darlow could also play a key part in convincing their compatriot to make the move to West Yorkshire.

Farke is yet to make any signings in the summer transfer window, but the club have sent several scouts to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with his attack rumoured to be a key area in need of bolstering for next season.
