Bournemouth sit on 48 points from 33 games and are unbeaten in their last 10 league games as they slowly climb the table on the chase for a spot in Europe next season.
The Cherries welcome survival hopefuls Leeds United to the Vitality Stadium on Wednesday night, just days after it was announced to the squad that Iraola will be replaced by Rose once the season is over.
Iraola, who will be hoping to guide to Europe for the first time, spoke on Rose who he says will certainly make a positive impact.
"I think the club will be in very good hands. He's a great manager. I praised him a few years ago, I always liked his teams and I hope he continues that.
"He's a good manager with a lot of European experience. He looks very exciting. I don't know him personally but I always like his teams.
"They should be happy because he's someone who can definitely improve the team. I'm sure the players are happy they know what's happening.”
Iraola also stated that European football would be “incredible” for his side who will hope to avoid a fifth consecutive Premier League home draw after clashes with Brentford, Manchester United and Sunderland in recent weeks.
Bournemouth and Leeds have scored at least two goals in each of their last three matches and Wednesday’s clash should be an entertaining clash between two sides at opposite ends of the table.
