The Cherries won through goalscorers Antoine Semenyo (2) and Justin Kluivert, with Ryan Sessegnon scoring for the visitors.
The win lifts Bournemouth to second-place on the Premier League table and Iraola remarked afterwards: "It was a strange game, especially in the first half not a lot of things happened.
"It was quiet tactically. We had more of the ball. We had to risk and I will give credit to the players because we scored goals. It was difficult for both teams because it is raining, it is windy.
"Great play from Antoine (Semenyo), great goal from Justin (Kluivert). Semenyo is in a very good spot, he is improving every season. I think he has confidence and we have to keep him there and encourage him to improve areas that he can improve. Now he is a player that is making the difference."
On Bournemouth's performances so far, he said: "We are in a great place. I value the 14 points, a good amount for the games we have played. Probably more than we expected but it is only the beginning.
"New players are giving us other options and I hope we can keep this build of the team. We had to take risks and put on more offensive players and it worked. The players have to make the difference and today they made it. The players have given us the three points.
"It is still very early, seven games into the season and after the break we have Palace, Manchester City and Aston Villa away. This competition is very difficult and you have to fight a lot. We will try to stay competitive and stay in all the games but knowing that we are playing in a very difficult league."
