Liverpool dropped points for the second consecutive match in the Premier League last Sunday as they drew 1-1 to Tottenham which has seriously damaged their chances of grabbing a Champions League spot.
Meanwhile, Brighton have now won three of their previous four Premier League outings, moving them up to 12th position, just three points behind Everton in eighth.
Home fans will play a huge role
The Seagulls will hope to cause an upset on Saturday afternoon as Hurzeler called for the home fans to play a part in what will be a tough test.
"Be as loud as possible, be behind us, be pushing, be creating an energy.
"We can create a place that no one wants to go (Amex) and that will help our intensity and performance.
"The fans against Arsenal were on it, and they influenced the game."
Brighton cannot let Liverpool have control
Hurzeler's side bounced back from the harsh loss to the Gunners by beating Sunderland 1-0 at the Stadium of Light last weekend. Meanwhile The Reds enter the game after picking apart reigning Turkish champions Galatasaray 4-0 to qualify for the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
Arne Slot’s side are filled with confidence and Hurzeler says his side cannot let them get a grasp on the game.
"We all know Liverpool are still one of the best teams with incredible individual quality. They can always have these special nights at Anfield.
"They came into a flow and when Liverpool get into a flow they are dangerous for every team.
"It’s our responsibility to not let them get into that flow. We need to be prepared, be intense."
