Tottenham legend Glenn Hoddle has predicted that his former side will survive relegation this season.

Tottenham Hotspur secured back-to-back victories in the Premier League for the first time since the first two weeks of the season after goals from Conor Gallagher and Richarlison helped the side to 3 points.

Manager Roberto de Zerbi had called on Tottenham Hotspur to silence the voices inside the club and his side did just that as they dominated the clash against Villa

West Ham's 3-0 defeat at Brentford on Saturday also helped Spurs push out of the relegation zone, raising hopes inside the club who could stay up despite morale being at an all time low.

Now, Hoddle has stated that he believes the club will stay up after what was a fine performance against a strong Villa side.

"I do. You asked me the question earlier and I said 'well my heart was saying they will stay up but my head was going no if we lost today'.

"That is a titanic performance and a titanic result and it puts a load of pressure on the other teams - well West Ham down there actually.

"It was the way that they played today, I thought it was excellent, absolutely spot on tactically and the players had that hunger.

"Every player played eight or nine out of ten, they were brilliant today. Only (negative) was the goal conceded right at the end.

"The passion and the hard work they put in, if they do that again on Monday night at home then they will start getting good results at home."

Tottenham face Leeds, Chelsea and Everton whilst relegation rivals West Ham go head to head with Arsenal, Newcastle United and Leeds in the final few games of the campaign.
