Erling Haaland sent Manchester City top of the Premier League table on Wednesday night as his side brushed aside Burnley in a narrow 1-0 win.
After a third-place finish in 2024/25, behind Mohamed Salah and Alexander Isak, Haaland is on track to claim his third Premier League Golden Boot.
Haaland has scored 24 league goals this season, 3 more than Brentford’s Igor Thiago who has scored 21 league goals for a side who are 8 places below City in 9th.
Only Thierry Henry and Mohamed Salah have 4 golden boots to their name and Haaland could match their record with just one more.
Speaking to GOAL via MrQ, Dickov revealed that he believes Haaland can reach 5 golden boots with ease and make history.
“I think so. I think he's going to be here for a long time, which is the one thing that will allow Erling to smash every single record that is going to be out there.
“He just keeps producing, he just keeps scoring more and more goals. And I think it sounds ridiculous if he'd said a couple of seasons ago that he was going to beat Salah or Henry. It's not ridiculous at all, it actually sounds quite easy for him that he's going to be able to go out and do that, which is crazy.”
It is now over to Arsenal on Saturday against Newcastle United to respond to City’s win over Burnley as Haaland faces Southampton in the FA Cup on the way to the final against either Chelsea or Leeds United.
