Burnley goalkeeper Martin Dubravka says they owe the fans something to shout about before the end of the season.

Defeat at home to Manchester City on Wednesday night confirmed Burnley's relegation.

Dubravka told Burnley's website: “I’m disappointed. We wanted to stay in the league but unfortunately, we didn’t do it.

“The start of the season was a bit tricky I would say. Playing against top teams, we didn’t pick up the points, and you need the points to stay up.

“We were so close on a few occasions, but we didn’t deliver.

“In today’s performance there were some good bits as well but unfortunately it wasn’t enough.

“There was not much space, but they still created a lot of chances. Unfortunately for us Haaland was clinical in his chance. They have such a good team.

“We tried to give everything tonight; we’re disappointed with the relegation.”

He added, “We need to give everything; there’s still four games to play. We need to give something to the fans because they support us every week.

“We want to give back to them for the remaining games.”
