Chelsea secure Atherton to first pro deal

The 17 year-old winger signed in the summer from Northern Ireland's Glenavon initially on scholarship forms.

Atherton has kicked off the season as a regular with Chelsea U18s.

The Northern Ireland U17 international has already struck twice for his new club.

And now Atherton has signed a first pro contract of his career with the Blues.
