Besiktas confirmed the signing of the Belgian international on Tuesday afternoon, with transfer expert Ben Jacobs revealing the details of the move as he makes the switch to the Turkish giants.
“Beşiktaş and Arsenal both confirm an agreement for Leandro Trossard. As reported yesterday, Trossard has agreed to a 3+1 contract.Fee is €18m+€2m.”
Arsenal confirmed the sale after Besiktas revealed the winger on social media, posting a video of him doing his iconic binoculars celebration.
“We can confirm that we have reached an agreement with Besiktas for the permanent transfer of Leandro Trossard.
“”With a transfer fee agreed, Leo, 31, has been granted permission to travel to Istanbul to undergo a medical and complete the formalities of his move to the Turkish Super Lig club.”
Trossard joined Arsenal from fellow Premier League side Brighton for £21million plus add-ons. He went on to score 36 goals and to grab 34 assists across 174 appearances in all competitions.
Last season he scored eight goals and registered 11 assists in 50 matches in all competitions, as the Gunners lifted the Premier League title.
Besiktas fans were delighted with the move on social media and Trossard should prove to be a fine signing as he tests his metal in the Turkish Super Lig over the coming years.
