Arsenal have the best home record in the Premier League this season, winning nine and drawing two of their 11 matches, conceding just five times overall.
The last time the two sides met, Arsenal won 1-0 thanks to a goal from Riccardo Calafiori early in the game. A win this weekend could see the Gunners extend their lead at the top to 10 points.
Carrick will bring new ideas to Man Utd
Arteta first revealed that he expects the United clash to be difficult and for interim manager Michael Carrick to add something different after his win over Manchester City last week.
“Yes, with Michael coming in it's going to bring new ideas, the intensity rises up, you could see in the Manchester derby with their behaviour and the game that they played.
“We expect a tough match, but we will adapt to that for sure we are at home, and we know how important that is going to be for us."
"Every game is different, obviously, the individuals are the ones that make the difference and make the game in a certain way. We are going to be ourselves, be dominant like we always want to be, impose the game that we want to play and regardless of what they want to do, we want to take the game in the areas that are very good for us."
Strikers will get their chance
The good news for Arteta is that he now has Viktor Gyokeres, Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz at his disposal up front. He opened up on the trio and said each will get their chance as the calendar heats up.
"We were waiting for that with the amount of games that are coming up, and they are all going to have opportunities and minutes, so great to have them back and especially to have them in good form.
"Yeah, he (Gyokeres) started the season without preseason as well and a lot of minutes and a lot of responsibility on him and now the fact that we have other options as well is something positive for the squad, and we could see the other day with Gabriel Jesus scoring two goals and Victor coming in and making an impact in the game."
