After the international break ends, Arsenal will resume with a London derby away to Fulham on Saturday 18th October before facing Atletico Madrid and Crystal Palace within the space of 7 days.
Manager Mikel Arteta will be rotating his squad for such a busy schedule which will be tough given the several injuries that have plagued the side in recent weeks including Martin Odegaard, Kai Havertz, Chukwunonso Madueke and Declan Rice.
However, there is a silver lining as Serbia manager Dragan Stojkovic has confirmed Fulham midfielder Lukic is out for between four and six weeks with an adductor injury.
“Lukic has an injury to the adductor of his left leg, with a break between four and six weeks. We certainly couldn’t count on him against Albania due to the suspension,” Stojkovic said, speaking to the media on Monday.
This means the Cottagers will be without the midfield maestro for their clash once the international break is over, easing some of the pressure on Arteta as he looks to maintain his spot at the top of the table.
Fulham will be hoping Lukic can recover over the course of the break but the midfield star, who has started every Premier League game for the Cottagers this season, certainly won’t be ready to face The Gunners.
