Arsenal chief Berta driving Timber negotiations

The Holland defender is in his third season at Arsenal after his arrival from Ajax.

While his deal runs to 2028, Berta is eager to extend and raise terms for Timber as a reward for his improving status, says  The Sun.

Timber is now regarded as first-choice right-back for manager Mikel Arteta and also has proven his versatility when filling in at centre-half.

Berta is driving the negotiations and is hopeful of reaching an agreement in the coming weeks.
