With the USA-leg of their preseason now complete, Amorim said: . "It's not that we had two weeks, and this will not change in two weeks, but we are better. Even in this game, we created chances and that is really important.
"I think it's a perfect feeling to go back to Carrington. The momentum of the tour was perfect. We had two weeks to work in a good environment with a good feeling to go back to Carrington. We are near to the start of the season and we are going with the feeling that we need to do a lot of things."
On more new additions, Amorim also stated: "Of course, one team can always improve with more players.
"But we have players to make that competition. We need to improve as a team. We have potential to improve with our players. I'm really happy with the squad.
"I think I'm happy for the players to have that feeling. It's a sign that they understand the situation. It is a good feeling. We are going to travel, have one day off and return to Carrington to work understanding, at this club, everything is big ups and downs."
