The 26-year-old Frenchman, who is contracted to the German club until 2029, is expected to join Lens on a deal running until the same year, according to Foot Mercato.
The transfer is reportedly worth around €5 million and would see Cuisance return to Ligue 1 after previous spells with Marseille.
For the midfielder, the move offers an opportunity to compete at a higher level and revive the promise that once made him one of France's most highly rated young talents.
Cuisance enjoyed a productive campaign with Hertha, scoring four goals and providing six assists in 35 appearances across all competitions.
Lens view the signing as another smart investment as they continue building a competitive squad, following successful moves for experienced players in recent seasons.
