The Poland international signed for the Portuguese club shortly before September’s transfer deadline as he pens a four-year contract.
Porto confirmed last week that they had triggered the option to sign the defender in a deal that could rise to £19M in add-ons.
The club stated that he signed “for a fixed fee of €17 million, plus a maximum variable remuneration of €5 million depending on the achievement of certain objectives.”
Now, Arsenal have confirmed the deal during their loan watch on the club website, revealing that he will leave the club after impressing for the Portuguese side.
“Jakub Kiwior’s move to Porto has now become permanent following the Dragaos’ Liga Portugal title triumph last weekend.
"The Polish defender was an unused substitute in this weekend’s 3-1 defeat at AFS, in which the team was rotated.”
Arsenal signed the 26-year-old centre-back from Italian side Spezia in January 2023 for £17.3M, and they are set to make a small profit on him depending on Porto reaching their objectives.
Kiwior, who made 33 starts and four substitute appearances for the club, helped Porto be crowned Portuguese champions with two games to spare and will aim to retain the title next season as he becomes a pivotal member of the side.
