Walcott admitted Arsenal were pushed hard throughout the contest and revealed he was far from comfortable watching the game unfold from a neutral perspective.
“I wasn’t that comfortable to be honest, just like the Arsenal bench! I feel sorry for West Ham but think the decision, in the end, was the correct one,” Walcott told Premier League website.
“David Raya, who was incredible today, he was restricted in his movement to claim the ball, Credit to West Ham today, they did fantastic but Arsenal are solid, they mixed it up, didn’t play well enough today to get the result today but still performed and it’s all about getting results at this late stage.”
