The pair fell out towards the end of last season in the final months of Ancelotti's time in charge of Real Madrid. However, Rodrygo admits he now feels the full confidence of the Italian while they're together with Brazil.
After the 1-1 friendly draw with Tunisia, he said, "I can only really comment since Ancelotti started calling me up. I have a good feeling seeing how the team has improved and how we gave our all.
"Now we have a clear idea of how to play and how to defend, and that makes a big difference. I'm left with a positive feeling, but we always have to win and keep improving. We can't be satisfied with this draw."
Rodrygo was then asked about his lack of minutes under Real coach Xabi Alonso this season and added: "There's not much I can do. I have to keep working hard, pushing myself, and try to earn the coach's trust there, just like I've earned it here.
"I think I can only improve in training; he sees my dedication and, who knows, maybe I'll get more opportunities."
