A discussion on El Chiringuito last night highlighted how concerned Real directors are around Xabi's work so far this season and his relationship with the dressing room.
Real Madrid sit top of the LaLiga table this international break, but there's concerns over the performance of the team and the controversy around Vinicius Junior.
Reporter Antonio Romero stated: "The club is starting to lose faith in Alonso. He's a coach who started with certain ideas, but they've gradually faded away.
"Someone should tell Xabi Alonso that the Real Madrid opportunity only comes around once in a lifetime, and if he has to go down, let it be with his own ideas."
Meanwhile, Manu Carreno said on El Larguero this morning: "It seems like the bad vibes are prevailing. It feels like the players aren't enjoying themselves. You just can't see a good Real Madrid.
"Watching Real Madrid is a bit boring. The players aren't running more than the opposition. It's not Xabi Alonso's fault. His relationship with the dressing room doesn't seem to be the best, I'm not saying it's bad. It seems like Xabi has been affected by the Vinicius situation.
"If the club had to take a stance, which it isn't, they would choose Vinicius; I think they prefer the Brazilian. Without taking anything away from Alonso's authority, I think he's made up their mind."
