A return to Athletic has been mooted for Laporte, with Al-Nassr willing to grant him a free transfer.
The stumbling block is Laporte's salary, with the Spain international needing to accept a massive drop on his Al-Nassr €25m-a-year contract.
Jorge Jesus said this morning: "We need a central defender, a midfielder to replace Otavio, and a winger. Aymeric Laporte will leave the club and a replacement will arrive."
