Jamal Musiala took part in team training with Bayern Munich on Tuesday as he returns from a horrific injury.

Musiala suffered a dislocated ankle and a fractured fibula at the Club World Cup in the USA after a collision with then Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma

This was an injury that was set to end his season completely, as reports wrote the midfielder off until the new campaign. However, after a successful surgery, Musiala has returned to the training pitch as pictured by the club on Tuesday morning.

Bayern have just one more game before the break: Sunday’s Bundesliga clash with 1. FC Heidenheim which could see Musiala make a cameo as he slowly returns to full fitness.

Manager Vincent Kompany will be keen on managing the minutes of the German star as to not risk any further setbacks. Back in October, Musiala spoke on how the support he has received has helped his comeback.

"It's always one step at a time, you don't want to do anything too quickly. When I come back, I want to be at 100 per cent, at a good level. That's why we're taking our time.

"The team, the fans - you can see we're all one big family. The support definitely helps," added the 22-year-old. "It gives us extra motivation that the fans miss Phonzy, me and all our injured players."
