Mykhailo Mudryk has returned to training at semi-professional club Uxbridge FC following his doping ban at Chelsea.

The winger was suspended due to a failed drugs test at the back end of 2024 and there have been minimal updates on the situation 12 months later as he waits to find out about his shaky future.

The banned substance detected in his system was meldonium, which has been prohibited in sport since 2016 by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) which The Mirror states enables athletes to boost endurance, accelerate recovery, and improve oxygen delivery to tissues during exercise.

Now, as reported by the Daily Mail, the Ukrainian shared a video on social media which showed him practising at the Uxbridge’s Honeycroft ground.

The video shows the winger practicing against an exercise dummy and taking shots from outside the box in a post that shocked many as they wait to hear about his future with the Blues.

Manager Liam Rosenior commented on Mudryk back in January and replied to a question asking if he has a chance in the first team when he returns.

"But, no, he's a magnificent player. He's had a really difficult time and when the moment is right for me and him and the club, I'll definitely have a conversation with him."

Rosenior further explained: "The time is right when I speak with the board and the sporting directors and when it's right that he's in a place where I can have an impact, in a positive way, on his career."

Mudryk has not played since scoring in a Conference League fixture at Heidenheim on November 28th and is likely to stay with the side past the summer window.
