With a six-point gap between Chelsea and their fourth-placed opponents, a win against Villa is imperative to keep their Champions League dreams alive as they aim to finish inside the top four.

Neto apologizes to the squad

It's now three Premier League games without a win for Rosenior who first spoke on the Arsenal defeat and Pedro Neto’s red card during the clash.

“Disappointment, missed opportunity - they're the two main things. After the last three games we've had, the performances have been very good but in the moments that mattered, we haven't taken advantage of the moments.

“It (discipline) needs to improve. My job is to create a culture of accountability. If you make a mistake, you have to hold your hands up to make sure it never happens again.

“Pedro has apologized to the group. I need to see an improvement in the behaviour now. It's not just Pedro.”

"I can't afford to go through a season where there is a red card in every two or three games. I need to do my team selection based on that."

Corners are a serious problem for Chelsea

Moving on from discipline, Rosenior touched upon corners as Arsenal equalled the record for the most goals from a corner in a Premier League season with two against the Blues at the weekend. Rosenior admitted it's a real problem for his side and touched upon Liverpool manager Arne Slot's comments on how they are "not a joy to watch".

"I am now (taking more responsibility for how his team sets up). It's not a laughing matter because it's a key thing we have to improve. I've taken more responsibility in the last week because I know it's something that has to improve. Bernardo (Cueva) has proven he is brilliant what he does.

"I think that is the beauty of football, you can do it in so many different ways. There is no right or wrong way to play football. The game is about winning. I do think there needs to be a review at the end of the season in terms of how the teams are affecting goalkeepers because I think that's having an effect on the other teams."
