While frustrated with defeat at Arsenal on Sunday, Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior drew a positive in Romeo Lavia's playing return.

Lavia had not featured for the Blues since their Champions League clash with Qarabag on 5 November. The midfielder was a second-half substitute in the 2-1 reverse.

Rosenior said afterwards, "He came on and showed what he’s about.

"It’s brilliant for him, even though we lose the game, to get back on the pitch. He showed a really high level."

Rosenior also had a word for the away support on the night: "We know what an amazing fanbase we have. We want to make them proud and give them a lot of good things in the future."
