The Portugal international said afterwards: “It was a difficult game, Tottenham are a top side. They were able to create problems for us, and we conceded two goals that we weren't expecting, and perhaps that were ultimately against the run of play.
“We showed a lot of personality to come back two times. We’re really happy with that ability to bounce back. I congratulate the team for that effort as Tottenham are a tough side, and we didn’t surrender.
“I never thought I’d be able to score a hat-trick in the Champions League. It’s a dream.”
