Marseille have reportedly turned down a €10 million offer from Turkish club Besiktas for experienced midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
According to L’Equipe, the 30-year-old Dane is widely expected to leave the Stade Velodrome this summer as the Ligue 1 side looks to generate funds after being hit with a €10 million UEFA fine for breaching Financial Fair Play regulations.
Hojbjerg has emerged as one of the club’s most valuable assets and is attracting interest from several clubs across Europe.
Besiktas are among the suitors, but their initial bid has been rejected by Marseille. Serie A side Atalanta are also monitoring the former Tottenham Hotspur and Southampton midfielder, although they have yet to begin formal negotiations for his signature.
