Rashford, 28, secure a loan move to Barcelona last summer, with the Catalan giants having a reported £26 million option to buy included in the deal.
The England international has impressed during his time at the club, scoring 13 goals and providing 11 assists in his 46 games.
Despite his fine form, a permanent move to Barcelona is looking unlikely, with Hansi Flick’s side hamstrung by financial issues.
According to The Sun, even if Rashford does return to Man United, they will still look to sell him and have no intention of bringing him back into the fold.
The report adds that Rashford is also opposed to returning to United after a fraught few years with his boyhood club.
