The Denmark international is on-loan at Napoli from Manchester United this season.
His father, Anders, told Il Mattino: "I remember as if it were yesterday the first time he spoke to me about his desire to become a footballer. I was sitting with him and looking at a poster of Cristiano Ronaldo in his room.
"At that point he turns to me and says: 'I want to be as good as Cristiano!'. All I could do was tell him how hard he would have to start training and we would have to train with him."
Anders also said, We've always been by his side and supported him from the very first moment. He's a loving and very ambitious guy. I've already been to the Maradona to watch two games and I enjoyed them both.
"I can't wait to experience more such special emotions."
