Tyrique George is set to make the switch from Chelsea to Everton as the clubs enter discussions.

Everton had the option of signing Tyrique George after the 20 year old spent the second half of 2025-26 on loan at the Hill Dickinson Stadium but the Toffees passed on the fee included in the deal.

This fee is said to be around £25M, a deal that Everton did not find appealing as they now negotiate outside of the loan offer in search of a better offer.

This comes from The Athletic who report that George may still complete a permanent move as talks between Chelsea and Everton begin this week.

George replaced the injured Jack Grealish as he played 11 times in the Premier League for Everton in the second half of the 2025-26 campaign under manager David Moyes who was impressed by his influence.

Chelsea boss has Liam Delap Joao Pedro, Nicolas Jackson and Emanuel Emegha as his centre-forward options for next season and it is unlikely that George would be handed any chances in the first team.

The two clubs have been keen to conduct business together over the past few years, with the likes of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Armando and defender Ishe Samuels-Smith making switches between the two sides.

George has six assists in 37 appearances for Chelsea’s first team and it is clear that the West London club are open to selling the youngster who could help add to their transfer budget this summer.

Other players such as Benoit Badiashile, Tosin Adarabioyo and Wesley Fofana, Alejandro Garnacho and Delap are reportedly set to depart the side.
