Bodmer has since joined Normandy rivals Stade Malherbe de Caen, a club owned by Kylian Mbappe.

Le Havre turned to Ba, a former Senegal international, to fill the vacancy following his impressive work as Sporting Director at USL Dunkerque, where he helped oversee significant progress on and off the pitch.

The 40-year-old enjoyed a distinguished playing career with clubs including Hoffenheim, Newcastle United and Chelsea before moving into football administration.

Having grown up in Le Havre, Ba now returns to his hometown club and will work closely with head coach Didier Digard to shape the sporting direction of France’s oldest football club.
